Starting at Rowlands Castle train station the route eases through Stansted Forest and Park, before heading north, passing West Marden on our right and looping anti-clockwise back down to Rowlands Castle. After Stansted Park the route passes mainly through woodland and fields, with a few lumpy bits in the second half of the walk. Paths may be muddy so please wear appropriate footwear, and bring a packed lunch.
: Rowland's Castle Train Station, PO9 6BP. Station parking is free but it’s a very small car park. Alternative parking can be found in the marked bays on Redhill Road, which are also free on Sundays.
: If travelling by car, you’ll most likely need to follow the B2149, either from Havant/the A27 or from junction 2 of the A3 at Horndean. Trains from Portsmouth and Petersfield/London stop at Rowlands Castle every hour on Sundays; please check online for latest timetables and fares.
