Sunday 13th July 2025 @ 10:00 5.5 miles

This is a relatively remote walk and offers a mixture of heath and woodland scenery with some good views across the varied New Forest landscape. Mainly all-weather forest tracks. There will be glimpses of Eyeworth Lodge and also skirts the Ashley Walk bombing range which was the testing ground for the famous ‘Dam Buster’ bouncing bombs used by the RAF during the Second World War. Dog friendly but need to be kept on a lead near grazing animals. Please bring a packed lunch and something to sit on. We will go for a drink at The Royal Oak at the end of the walk for anyone who wants to come along.
: The Royal Oak pub - Post code: SO43 7HJ
: Fritham Village - best approached from the B3078 to Godshill Road due to limited access from the A31. Park in the Forestry Commission car park just beyond The Royal Oak.
