**Originally scheduled for 7th January, but was postponed to 21st January due to poor weather**
A hilly walk offering lovely views of the Meon Valley. Starting in the Village Hall car park on the northwest edge of East Meon we walk through the village, past the church and sharply up and along the top of Park Hill. The route continues in a clockwise direction for several miles through fields, country lanes and muddy woodland footpaths, eventually rising up to join the South Downs Way. We’ll follow this path west for a couple of miles through more woodland, before turning north to walk along the top of Salt Hill, then dropping down through fields to return to East Meon. This route has plenty of up and down, and many of the woodland footpaths will be muddy at this time of year, so please dress appropriately for the terrain and weather. Please also bring a packed lunch and something to sit on if the ground is wet.
