We will start the walk with a loop around the Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve, then head north crossing over the River Blackwater. From here we will join the Test Way following tracks across farmland, with several bridge crossings giving lovely river views. Heading over the River Test we will then follow woodland trails down towards nursling, cutting below the motorway and joining onto the River Test Boardwalk. We will cross the river for the last time at Salmon Leap and pass through Testwood Walk back toward Testwood Lakes. Parts of the walk can be muddy so please wear boots and bring snacks and water for breaks along the way (there won’t be a lunch stop en route). The car park is FOC, parking along Brunel Road is also fine if the car park is full. We can head for a drink after at the Testwood Pub 3-minutes drive away.
