An evening wander around the Alver Valley Country Park between Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent, starting off from the cafe by the West (top) car park and wending our way around most of the maintained paths and tracks in the park. We will take in the grassy top section, wooded areas with boardwalks down to the Apple Dumpling bridge, then round to the top of Sandhill and back up through the park to the start. This walk is perfect for newer walkers or those who prefer a shorter walk. There is one gentle ascent and one steeper climb, all which will be taken at a leisurely pace.
Please bring plenty of water/ fluids and snacks and wear appropriate clothing/ footwear for the weather. Closed toed shoes are recommended as some parts of the walk may be muddy dependant on the weather and there have previously been adder sightings in the park.
: In front of the CoffeeCup Cafe (closed), please park in the West Car park which is free after 7pm.
