Day 1: Meet at 10.30am Knepp Estate Walkers’ Car Park, Dial Post, RH13 8NQ
Leisurely 8-10 mile walk around the re-wilding project – opportunity to see white storks, Tamworth pigs, Longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies, deer, purple emperor butterflies, nightingales, turtle doves and with a lot of luck, maybe Beaver!! Animal sightings not guaranteed. Bring a packed lunch.
Drive to campsite near Littlehampton late afternoon to set up tents and relax.
Pub for dinner in the village (hopefully The Oystercatcher – 20 minute walk)
All pitches have a fire pit so bring some beers and marshmallows ??
Day 2: 10 mile walk in surrounding area (TBC!) Possibly from the campsite, but more likely Arundel area. Bring a packed lunch.
Head home mid-afternoon after a pub drink.
Campsite: Church Farm House, Church Ln, Littlehampton BN17 5RR
I have reserved 4 pitches for 1-2man tents (max 16 people – 4 people per pitch)
Price: The total price for 4 pitches (16 people) is £210. Depending on the number of people the price will vary but assume no more than £15 per person.
I need to pay a 10% deposit at the start of May, with the remaining balance due mid-July.
Car sharing: It would be great to car share as much as possible, so once I have numbers I’ll be in touch to sort out who’s happy to drive. Maximum of 8 cars (if we use all 4 pitches).
